Should You Delete the EGR System?
EGR deletion, which involves blanking off the EGR passages and disabling the EGR valve, is technically illegal in the UAE as it directly increases NOx emissions and will cause a failed vehicle inspection. It also triggers permanent fault codes that cannot be cleared. While EGR deletion is discussed on online forums and performed by some workshops, it is not a compliant solution in the UAE and should be avoided.
