Car Coolant Reservoir Replacement Cost in UAE (2026)
The coolant reservoir is the plastic overflow tank that stores excess coolant when it expands from engine heat, and returns it when the engine cools. In UAE, the combination of extreme underbonnet heat and UV radiation causes plastic coolant reservoirs to become brittle and develop cracks far earlier than in cooler markets. A cracked reservoir loses coolant slowly, causing the system to run progressively lower and eventually triggering overheating.

Always Check the Radiator Cap With the Reservoir
The radiator cap (pressure cap) maintains system pressure and controls when coolant flows from the radiator into the reservoir and back. A failed cap causes coolant to overflow into the reservoir unnecessarily, or fails to return coolant from the reservoir on cooling. Always replace the radiator cap (AED 20 to 80) at the same time as the reservoir. In UAE conditions, reservoirs and caps both degrade from heat and should be inspected together every service.
