How VVT Systems Work in UAE Vehicles
VVT systems use engine oil pressure, controlled by electromagnetic solenoids, to rotate the camshaft phaser (a geared mechanism on the camshaft sprocket). The oil loses viscosity, becomes more acidic, and accumulates more combustion deposits. The most effective prevention for VVT problems in UAE is fresh engine oil at shortened intervals. Rather than the manufacturer-standard 10,000-15,000 km oil change interval (designed for cooler countries with less severe duty cycles), UAE drivers should change engine oil every 5,000-7,500 km. Always use the manufacturer-specified oil viscosity.
