1. Clean Your Wheels Regularly (and Correctly)
Brake dust is the enemy. It’s composed of metal particles and carbon compounds that bond to wheel surfaces when hot, etching into the lacquer over time. In the UAE’s high-temperature environment, brake dust bakes on faster than in cooler climates.
Wash your wheels every 1–2 weeks using a dedicated alloy wheel cleaner (pH-neutral for coated wheels, iron-fallout remover for bare or neglected wheels). Rinse thoroughly. Never use household detergents, which strip protective coatings.
